What your employer can and cannot see in an EAP

Understand the difference between private support content and the safe, aggregated insights an employer may receive.

Your private support is not a company report

Using an employee assistance programme should not mean giving your employer access to your private conversation. In Quedium, your AI chat, daily check-in answers, memory, case messages, and support notes are protected support information.

What an employer may see

An authorized organization administrator may see safe operational information such as:

  • overall participation counts;
  • broad, aggregated trends;
  • response-time measures; and
  • resource engagement.

These views are designed to help an organization understand whether support is available and useful, not to identify what a particular employee said.

What an employer does not see by default

Organization administrators do not receive your raw AI conversation, private check-in, personal memory, case messages, or detailed support notes by default. A qualified support handler sees only the information required for an approved follow-up pathway.

You should be told when a summary will be shared for human follow-up. Urgent safety situations may follow a separate escalation policy, which should also be explained clearly.
